Rimfire Stables, where we live and work is located just outside of Canfield, Ohio at 6177 Western Reserve Road.
It was purchased in '96 so our horses could be kept close by. We feel that the Lord had a hand in it because it happened at just the right time and has exactly what was needed for the well-being and happiness of our horses.
With 22 acres of land, we have dedicated 20 acres of it to our horses. (Of course this will come as no surprise to anyone who owns a horse!) There are two main turnouts, each 8 acres, which are designated for our geldings and mares. There are four
other turnouts for special interests.
We have a 24 stall barn with a 60' x 120' indoor arena as well as a 100' x 220' outdoor sand arena for working. There is also equipment such as barrels, poles and jump standards.
Being that the farm was once used as a Thoroughbred training facility, a 1/2 mile working track is available for exercising. Up to 4 horses can also be exercised in our motorized hot walker. This has various speed controls and allows the horse freedom
of movement since they are enclosed by panels and do not need to be tethered. (Mark builds these as well as the round pens you will see at the farm) A 60' x 300' swimming pool is available as a great way to exercise horses while being stress free on their legs. A ramp is
located at each end for easy entering and exiting of the pool.
We also offer stalls for boarding with daily handling and turnout as weather permits. We do require current Coggins tests and other health papers on all horses. Please feel free to give us a call. Contact Michelle at 330 509-5467 or Mark at 330 501-1680, to discuss availability and pricing.
